trice (Bea) Garrett

Beatrice Garrett (Bea), 53, of Rockford, IL passed away at home on Feb. 17, 2011.   She was born in Wildflicken, Germany on August 28th, 1957 to Hennelore Martin and father unknown. She was raised by her grandmother (Maria Martin) in Wildflicken, Germany where she lived until she met her husband of 34 years, Larry Garrett with whom she had 4 sons. They traveled back and forth from Germany to El Paso, TX while in the service between 1976 - 1990. They moved to Illinois in 1996 where she worked at Transamerica/GE until 2008. Beatrice Garrett was a loving, caring, strong woman who will be missed by all who knew her. Bea is survived by her husband Larry and their sons/daughters-in-law: Tyrone and Mandy Garrett, Kevin Garrett and Andrea Portenga, Lecedrick and Christine Garrett, Jermaine Garrett and Amanda Branney. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Tyrone, Quincy, Evan, Addison and Keaton Garrett. A memorial service will be held at Sundberg Funeral Home, Ltd. 215 North 6th St Rockford, IL 61107. 815-962-7743 on February 21, 2011 at 11:00 am.
