Zina Nekrasewich, 95, passed away in Presence Cor Mariae Center on Saturday, March 29, 2014. Born Oct. 15, 1918 in Pinsk, Poland, daughter of Gregory and Ewa Baranchuk. Married to Peter Nekrasewich, in Poland, May 15, 1935. He predeceased her on October 4, 2002. Retired from National Lock Co. Member of Christ the Savior Orthodox Church. Survivors include daughters, Maria (Henry) Hryszcuk of Rockford, Eugenia Hull of Oregon, and Sophie (John) Hall of North Carolina; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by daughter, Olga Rakuc and son, Nick Nekrasewich.
Services at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 4, 2014 in Christ the Savior Orthodox Church, 1802 Pershing Avenue, Rockford, IL with Fr. Jonathan Bannon officiating. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements by Sundberg Funeral Home, Ltd., 215 N. Sixth St., Rockford, IL.
