He was joined in marriage to Marge Pippel. She preceded him in death.
He faithfully served his country during the Viet Nam War.
He enjoyed word puzzles and jigsaw puzzles.
He is survived by his daughter Mary (Jason) Kirtley, and his grandchildren.
