Thomas A. (Monick) Cook, 55, passed away Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011 in his home. Born Sept. 13, 1955 in Wheeling, PA, the son of Richard and Edith (Conan) Monick. Thomas was a Viet Nam veteran serving in the US Army. He was a cook for Disney World Resort for 12 years and later for KFC. Married Roberta Kolner July 5, 1999 in Oseola Co., FL. He was a nature buff who enjoyed fishing. Survived by his wife, Roberta Kolner, his mother, Edith Monick, siblings, Daniel Erler, Alice Monick, Helen Monick, Barbara Monick, Timothy Cook, Lawrence Monick, Richard T. Monick, and Elizabeth Swift, numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father, Richard Monick.
No services are scheduled. Sundberg Funeral Home, Ltd., 215 N. Sixth St., Rockford, IL, assisted the family.
