Mr. Stefanos “Steve” Christidis, 89, of Rockford, died on Friday, June 7, 2024, at the Amberwood Care Center. He was born on Dec. 25, 1934, in Tripoli, Greece to Nickolas and Vasiliki (Pipilas) Christidis.
He completed Grade School and became an Electrician Apprentice.
He enjoyed friendly poker games; He was an active participant in St Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Rockford; the head chef of Wagon Wheel & Forest Hills Country Club; and the owner of Two Chefs restaurant in DeKalb, Illinois.
Survived By: Sons Nick (Katie - child Samantha) & (Patrice-children Stephanie Berner (Mike - Niko, Marla & Max), Mathew (Kendall - Grayson, Camryn & Jackson), Vincent & Efstathia); George (Angela) & Bob (Michele - kids Damon, Gabrielle & Jordan) and daughter Bessie Apostle (Tom - children Alexander (Alexis) & Stefano);.sister Katerina Tsoukalas
Preceded in Death by his wife Sula, his mom & dad, siblings Elizabeth, Eleni, Yianni, George, Mary, Sophia
Services begin at 10 am on Saturday, June 15, 2024, with an hour of visitation @ Sts Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Rockford, followed by a funeral, burial & luncheon.
