Shirley C. Okland

Shirley C. Okland, 87, passed away Nov. 10, 2011 in a nursing home in Aurora, IL. Shirley was a long time resident of Rockford, IL and lived a long fulfilling life. She was a wonderful friend, mother, and grandmother, and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her sons, Mark D. (Dyane) Okland and Robert C. (Sharon) Steidel, dau-in-law, Dottie Okland, step-sister, Beverly Fox and 7 grandchildren,. Predeceased by her husband, Elmer N. Okland and step-son, Stephen D. Okland.
Funeral service 11:00 a.m., Mon., Nov. 14, 2011 at Alpine Lutheran Church, 5001 Forest View, Rockford, with Rev. Dr. Richard Meier, officiating. Visitation at the church from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Burial in Arlington Memorial Park. Arrangements by Sundberg Funeral Home, Ltd., 215 N. Sixth St., Rockford. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to the donor's choice.
