Shirley Noreen (Kahl) Doyle

Shirley Noreen Doyle, age 79, of Monroe Center, Illinois died Monday, April 11th, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was born September 20th, 1942, in Lancaster, PA. to Vernon and Edna (Grodland) Kahl. Shirley married Sterling Doyle December 20th, 1958, in Rockford, IL. She worked 35 years as a machinist at MTE Hydraulics/American Shaft. She was a soft spoken but feisty lady with a great sense of humor. She loved working in her yard and flower gardens and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Shirley leaves behind her daughter Christi (Kevin) Dailey of Stillman Valley. Sons, Larry (Stephanie) Doyle of Monroe Center, Barry (Brenda) Doyle of New Milford, Scott (Amy) Doyle of Monroe Center.

Brother Vernon (Betty) Kahl of Rockford, IL. Sister Sharon (Ron) Terviel of Hill City, South Dakota. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband Sterling Doyle, two sons Gerald Doyle, Darrell Lee Doyle, mother Edna, and father Vernon Kahl, two sisters Jennifer Forrest, Joyce Cofield, maternal and paternal grandparents.

Funeral Service will be Saturday April 16th, 2022, time 12 noon at the Sundberg Funeral Home, 215 North Sixth Street, Rockford, IL. 61107. Friends may visit on the day of the funeral from 10:00 a.m. until time of services. Flowers and condolences may be sent through sundbergfh.com
