Shirley Scott Obituary

Shirley A. Scott, 84, passed away Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012 in East Bank Center, Loves Park. She was born Sept. 10, 1927 in Freeport, IL, the daughter of George and Anna (Wollory) Werntz. Shirley married Charles W. Scott and he preceded her in death. She worked 40 years for Pacemaker and later at Sam's Club for 12 years. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary. Survivors include her daughter, Charlene Charlesworth of Bloomington, IL, her son, Gary (Sandy) Scott of Rockford, 6 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
Memorial service 1:00 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012 in Emanuel Lutheran Church, 920 Third Ave., Rockford with Pastor Nord Swanstrom officiating. Visitation at the church 1 hour prior to service. Private family burial. Arrangements by Sundberg Funeral Home, Ltd., 215 N. Sixth St., Rockford, IL. Online condolences at www.sundbergfh.com. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
