Sharon Kay (Menzies) Block

Sharon Block, 79, died Thursday, March 28, 2024, in Rockford, IL. She was born December 15, 1944, in Rockford to William and Burnel (Hamilton) Menzies. 

  Sharon graduated from East High School. After graduation, she attended cosmetology school which led to her owning her own salon. Sharon was a loving mother and grandmother. She spent many years traveling between Florida and Illinois to help care for and raise her grandchildren. 

  She is survived by her daughter, Amie Tanchak, St Augustine, FL, and her son, Jason Block, Rockford, IL, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was deeply loved and will forever remain in our hearts and minds. 

A Funeral Service will be on Saturday, March 30th, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at Sundberg Funeral Home. Friends may visit on Saturday from 2:30 p.m. until the time of service.
