Sam Armato, 92 of Rockford, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at OSF St. Anthony Hospital. He was born in Rockford on October 18, 1932, to Alex Armato Bertha (Perrone) Armato. He served his country in the Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed the music and dancing.
When Sam met Sandra, and they began to date he knew he had found the one for his life. They enjoyed each other’s company and spent time traveling and being together.
Survived by sister Mary Murphy, daughter Ann Armato, son Joel Armato, and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded In death: Parents Alex and Bertha Armato, son Alex Armato, son Jimmy Armato, brother Martin (Mary) Armato, Rose (Benny) Sanches, Eleanor (William) Fellers, brother-in-law, Dave Murphy.
A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 29th, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Sundberg Funeral Home.
