Sally "Bug" L. (Schmaling) Carter

Sally L. "Bug" Carter, age 86, of Rockford, Illinois died Thursday, July 25, 2024. She was born in Janesville, Wisconsin to Frank and Mary (Krueger) Schmaling on March 31st, 1938. She graduated from Harlem High School in 1956. Sally married Frank Carter on June 8th, 1974. She enjoyed Chickens, playing Bingo, and trips to the Casino. Sally was a long-time member of Beverly Park General Baptist Church.

 She is survived by her children, John, Robin, Tom and Tim.

Six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three sisters, and one brother.

Preceded in death by her parents, and husband on December 8th, 1988. one sister Janet Diebold.

A Celebration of Life will be Monday, August 5th, 2024, time 11:00 a.m. at Sundberg Funeral Home, 215 North Sixth Street, Rockford, Illinois 61107.
