Salama T. Israel

Salama Israel, age 30, of Rockford, Illinois, formally of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, died Wednesday, July 5th, 2023, at home. He was born in Congo to Munindo and Rogeline Faida. Salama was educated and received his diploma. He enjoyed the parks and nature and if not there, he studied at the Rockford Public Library.

He is survived by his mother Rogeline Faida, Brother Eric Baraka, Sister Princess Komuhendo, Jolie Karungi, and Aime K Bomera.

He is preceded in death by his sister Safa Faila.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, July 15th, 2023, time 10:00 am at the Sundberg Funeral Home, 215 North Sixth Street, Rockford, Illinois. 61107. A burial will follow at Cedar Bluff Cemetery.
