Richard L. "Dick" Bonne, 90, died at 7:22 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010 in Provena St. Anne Center. Born Sept. 23, 1920 in Rockford, the son of John and Anna (Schoknicht) Bonne. While attending North Central College, he enlisted in the US Army Air Corps during WW II. Dick was a pitcher in the Chicago White Sox farm league in 1941, 1945, and 1946. He farmed in the Monroe Center area for 40 years. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, sons, Bruce (Debra) Bonne of Stillman Valley, and Burdette (Mary) Bonne of Monroe Center, a step-son, Ned (Leah) Junor, a step-daughter, Cathleen Junor, 2 grandchildren, Brooke (James) Adams and Brent Bonne, 4 step-grandchildren, Scott and Peter Junor, Jessica (Mark) Mariani, and Justin Hering. He was predeceased by brothers, John and George Bonne, and sisters, Genevieve Hoffman and Evelyn Bonne.
