Peter Anderson Obituary

Peter S. Anderson, 82, died at 8:30 a.m., Saturday, July 30, 2011 in Wesley Willows. Born Oct. 16, 1928, the son of Walter H. and Julia (Sanders) Anderson. He graduated from West High School and received his BA from DePauw University. Peter was a Methodist and former board member of Rockford Art Museum. He worked in interior design and was formerly employed by Marshall Fields, John M. Smith, Anderson Interiors, Jerome Interiors, and Linen N' Things. Survivors include his sister, Susan (Jack) Frost of Florida, nephews, Andrew, Peter, Matthew, and Christopher Frost, and many friends. He was married to Joanne Cox (Shaheen) for 20 years, and she also survives.

Memorial service 1:00 p.m., Wed., Aug. 3, 2011 in Wesley Willows John Chapel, 4141 N. Rockton Ave., Rockford. Private interment in Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements by Sundberg Funeral Home, Ltd., 215 N. Sixth St., Rockford, IL 61107. Memorials to Wesley Willows.
