Nancy K. Johnson, 79, of Rockford, IL, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center. She was born September 12, 1945, in Rockford, to Viola and Martin Johnson. Nancy attended Rockford Public Schools and worked part-time jobs at Swedish American Hospital, Maid-Rite and North Towne Cinema. She loved animals and listening to music, with a special fondness for Elvis Presley and country artists. Nancy liked to sing and was often told she had a beautiful singing voice. Thoughtful to the core, she always went out of her way to tell family she loved them.  

Survivors include her sister, Sandra (Richard) Cook; nephew, Randall (Suzanne) Cook; niece, Julie Cook Ramirez; and several cousins. She is predeceased by her parents and several special friends.  

Nancy’s funeral service will be held May 30, 2025 at noon at Sundberg Funeral Home, with a short visitation preceding at 11:30 a.m. Burial will take place at Willwood Burial Park in Rockford.
