Pastor Miriam Janet Williams, born March 31, 1959, in Mason City, Iowa, went home to be with her heavenly Father on August 28, 2020. She was 61 years old. Miriam passed away surrounded by her beloved husband and son.
Miriam was a longtime resident of Rockford. She was a pastor at Faith Center Church in Rockford and the leader of Mighty X Women Deliverance Ministry. She also served for many years as a pastor in the jail, leading a weekly small group for female inmates.
Miriam is survived by her husband, James Williams. Their children: Karen Rene (Daniel) Payment and Benjamin (Courtney) Williams. Her mother, Betty Lunstrom. Her brothers: Kent (Kim) Lunstrom and Calvin (Jennifer) Lunstrom. Also 5 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Debbie (Skip) Ledford, and two aunts Darlene Hearron and Lou Ann (John) Owens.
She is preceded in death by her father Glen Lunstrom, paternal grandparents, Genevieve and Paul Lunstrom. Maternal grandparents George and Stella Nelson. Also, her in-laws, Gerald and Alma Dean Williams.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Center Church, 4721 South Main Street, Rockford. Apostle Jonathan Byrd will Officiate. Burial will be in the Scandinavian Cemetery. Friends may call on Wed. Sept. 2, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
