Michael A. McCord died unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 in Louisville, KY. Born April 28, 1968 in Chicago, IL, Michael was the beloved son of Dorlinda Anderson Miller and James Harris. Michael was predeceased by his son, Michael McCord Jr.; his mother, Dorlinda Miller; his stepfather, Carrey John Miller; his biological father, James Harris; his sister, Dorlinda Mae Randall; and his brother, Curtis Lee Miller. He leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory: his daughters, Shamiya McCord and Jasmine Thomas; his siblings, Eunice McCord, one brother, Karmen Miller, and Sonya (Justin) Oefelein; as well as extended family and friends who will forever remember his spirit, energy, and the joy he brought into their lives. He will be greatly missed. A Graveside Service will be Friday, March 14th, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Cedar Bluff Cemetery, Rockford, Illinois.
