Michael Kevin Dougherty

Michael Dougherty 68, was born in Teaneck, NJ on September 12, 1957 to Frank Dougherty and Alice Kinslow, Mike earned his GED and was always intrigued by electronics and mechanics; he even obtained a patent for an automotive tool he designed. He married the love of his life Marianne Darley in 1986 at St. James Church in Belvidere. Together they had 2 children: Tom and Carina. Mike worked at Ace Hardware in Winnebago where he truly was "...the helpful hardware man." Mike would go out of his way to help others.

Prior to Ace, he worked at Behr recycling  Mike succumbed to cancer on September 6, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Danny and Pete and daughter Carina. He is survived by Marianne, his son Tom, siblings: Marie, Pat, Nancy (Jerome) Brunner, Sue, Steve, Annette Johnson, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass and Interment will be through St. James Church, Belvidere.
