ROCKFORD-Mark Joseph Kozuck, 67, of Rockford went to be with his LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, May 12, 2021. Born April 4, 1954 in Rockford, the son of Joseph and Ruthe (Wallmichrath) Kozuck. He attended Boylan High School, Rock Valley College and Southern Illinois University. He worked at Sunstrand. He restored 3 historic apartment buildings. Later in life, he fulfilled his dream of owning his own resort called Lunker Landing, in MO. After selling the resort, he returned to Rockford and used his handyman skills while employed at the Clock Tower Inn. He loved a good road trip. Over the past several winter seasons, he traveled in his RV throughout the USA. He loved to travel with his precious dogs, especially while driving through the rain. He loved spending the summer months with his great grandchildren taking them to ballgames. He will be missed. He will be in our hearts forever.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Kozuck. One daughter, Julia (Bob) Hochstein. His stepchildren, Lloyd (Hope) Sarrels, Rhonda (William) Thomas, Allen Sarrels, Paula (Brian) Butorka, Kelly (Becky) Sarrels. 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Two brothers, Mike (Karen) Kozuck, Tim Kozuck and a sister Meri Jo (Doug) Ary.
He's preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Ruthe Kozuck.
We love him, we will miss him and look forward to the day we meet him again.
The funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M., on Wednesday, May 19,2021 at the Sundberg Funeral Home, 215 N. Sixth Street, Rockford, Ill. 61107. Pastor Marla Eash of Faith Center will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call on Wed. May 19, from Noon until time of service. Sundberg Funeral Home is honored to serve the Kozuck family.
