Margaret " Mippy" (Akam) Ramirez

Margaret A. “Mippy” Ramirez (Akam) 68, Of Rockford passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022, in her home surrounded by her loved ones in person and on camera. Mippy was born December 30, 1953, in Loma Linda, California. She is the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth (Holm) Akam. She married Isauro Ramirez on April 16, 1975, and went on to have 3 Daughters. Mippy was a skilled homemaker who valued family traditions and played many rolls in life as a daughter, Sister, Aunt, Wife, Mother, Godmother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother.  

Mippy was a member of St. Patrick Church And her hobbies included: cooking, decorating the family home for every holiday, gardening, crafting, and interior design.  She loved to host for family and friends during the holidays. Mippy and her husband Isauro, worked hand-in-hand, throughout their marriage. She assisted her husband in remodeling the family home and organized events for the towns people of Huejuquilla el alto Jalisco.

After losing her husband in 2008, she was never the same. Due to a stroke in 2013, she experienced various health hardships. Mippy will be remembered by keeping the structure in her family, the meals she cooked, family outings for her grandchildren, and assisting friends in the community. Even though we are saddened by her passing, there is comfort in knowing after a long time she is now reunited with her husband, Isauro. 

Survived by Her daughters- Mariaelena Ramirez (Salvador Hernandez), Reyna (Salvador) Ramirez, Lydia (Rafael) Gallardo.

Grandchildren, Mauricio Hernandez, Jesus Cruz (Berenisse Flores), Valeria Ramirez (Marcos Padilla), Marisabel Ramirez, Joseph Ramirez, Alejandro Ramirez, Cristian Gallardo, José Gallardo, Daniel Gallardo. 

Great-grandchildren -Melanie Padilla, Naomi Padilla, And newest addition Thiago Cruz. 

God children Gloria Ramirez, Juan Conchas, Justo Vera Jr. 

Sister Mary (Lulu) Mayfield, brother Donald (Debbie) Akam, brother David (June) Akam, Various nieces and nephews and dear close friends. 

Predeceased by her Parents Frank Akam and Elizabeth Holm, her husband Isauro Ramirez, Brother Frank, Sisters Carol, Diana, and Terry, and Various in-laws.

A Catholic burial Mass will be Saturday, August 20, 2022, at 10 AM at: Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church 2505 School St Rockford, Illinois 61101.  Friends and Family may visit on Friday, August 19, 2022, from 3 PM until 8 PM at the Sundberg funeral home, 215 N. 6th St., Rockford, IL. 61107

De Rockford Illinois falleció el viernes 12 de agosto de 2022 en su casa rodeada de sus seres queridos en persona y en cámara. Mippy nació el 30 de diciembre de 1953 en Loma Linda, California. Es hija de Frank y Elizabeth (Holm) Akam. Se casó con Isauro Ramírez el 16 de abril de 1975 y tuvo 3 hijas. Mippy era una hábil ama de casa que valoraba las tradiciones familiares y jugaba muchos rollos en la vida como hija, hermana, tía, esposa, madre, madrina, abuela y bisabuela.

Mippy era miembro de St. Patrick Church Y sus pasatiempos incluían: cocinar, decorar la casa familiar para cada día festivo, jardinería, artesanía y diseño de interiores. Le encantaba ser anfitriona para familiares y amigos durante las vacaciones. Mippy y su marido Isauro trabajaron mano a mano durante todo su matrimonio. Ayudó a su marido a remodelar la casa familiar y organizó eventos para el pueblo de Huejuquilla el alto Jalisco.

Después de perder a su marido en 2008, nunca fue la misma. Debido a un derrame cerebral en 2013, experimentó varias dificultades de salud. Mippy será recordada manteniendo la estructura en su familia, las comidas que cocinó, las salidas familiares para sus nietos y la asistencia a sus amigos de la comunidad. Aunque nos entristece su fallecimiento, hay consuelo saber que después de mucho tiempo ahora se ha reunido con su marido, Isauro.

Sobrevivida por sus hijas: Maríaelena Ramírez (Salvador Hernández), Reyna ( Salvador) Ramírez, Lydia (Rafael) Gallardo.

Nietos, Mauricio Hernández, Jesús Cruz (Berenisse Flores), Valeria Ramírez (Marcos Padilla), Marisabel Ramírez, Joseph Ramírez, Alejandro Ramírez, Cristian Gallardo, José Gallardo, Daniel Gallardo.

Bisnietos: Melanie Padilla, Naomi Padilla y la nueva incorporación Thiago Cruz.
