Leroy Schell

Leroy Schell, 72, of Rockford, died on December 22, 2020 at the P.A. Peterson Center for Health with his beloved children by his side. He was born on Nov. 5, 1948 to Solomon Shell (born August 7,1916 passed June 6th, 1967) and Celia (Kelly) Shell (born May 11, 1919 passed January 20th, 1972).

Graduated high school May 1966 at Evarts High School in Evarts Kentucky.

Dad loved to be outdoors. He loved summertime and cutting his grass. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandson whenever he could. He loved classic cars and oldies music. He loved cats and driving semi- trucks.

Survived by: Daughter Kristina Schell, Son Randy Schell, grandson DJ Farris, Brothers Dennis Shell, Paul Shell, David Shell and sisters Betty Alexander and Freda Shell.

Preceded in death by: Father Solomon Shell and mother Celia (Kelly) Shell.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Sundberg Funeral Home, 215 N. 6th Street, Rockford. Friends may call on Thursday, December 31st, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial is in Greenwood Cemetery, Rockford.
