It is with great sadness, that the family of K.C. Villarreal announces his passing, after battling cancer, on Friday August 28th, 2020 with family by his side.
K.C. was born on September 27th, 1966, in San Antonio, Texas to Diana E. Gonzales. K.C. will be lovingly remembered by his siblings, Fabian Gonzales, Mary (Ramon) Mancilla, Fraser (Nora) Gonzales, Adam Villarreal, Laiza Romero, and Joe Otanez; his special niece that he adored Diana Gonzales-Dickey; as well as his numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
K.C. graduated in 1985, from Rochelle Township High School in Rochelle, IL. After graduation, he then went on to pursue a business degree at Rockford Business College in Rockford, IL. He worked in the hospitality management industry for several luxury and business hotels in the Rockford area. His career experiences and skills grew from years of working at The Clock Tower Resort and The Radisson Hotel, which ultimately led to a General Manager position with LaQuinta Hotel and Suites.
K.C. was a loving, caring, devoted, and energetic individual who will forever be remembered for his contagious smile. His love for entertaining others is what led him to win Miss Gay Rockford 2003. K.C. had a sincere heart with a genuine love for everyone he encountered. In his uplifting presence, you could feel his magnetic compassion that would pull you in. This compassion could be truly felt throughout others, as K.C. had love for everyone no matter of their differences.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Juanita Villarreal; brother, Frank Gonzales; and Nephew, Xavier Villarreal.
