Joyce (Pierce) Hobel

Joyce Hobel, 88, Rockford, IL passed away peacefully on 9/19/22 surrounded by family. Born on 2/20/34 in Rockford, the daughter of Ellen & Raymond Pierce.  Graduated West High School in 1952, married Jerald Hobel on 7/26/52.  She will be missed tremendously by her family.  She volunteered as a teachers aid for 30+ years at Conklin School and volunteered at the Food Bank.  She is loved and will be deeply missed by her husband Jerald, son, Mike Hobel (Kelli), daughter Jane Stewart, grandchildren Ben Stewart, Samantha Reynolds (Alex), Jason Stewart, Kyle Hobel (Sabrina Mills), Andrew McGee, Cathy Hobel and 3 great grandchildren, predeceased by son David Hobel and 5 siblings. A Private Memorial Service will be held in her honor. Sundberg Funeral Home is caring for the Family.
