John Wing

John M. Wing, 73 of Rockford, died peacefully in his home, on June 17, 2022.  John was born on May 10, 1949, in Bronxville, New York, the son of John E. and Marjorie (Mitchel) Wing.  He was Arborist and Tree Surgeon, owning and operating his Tree Service business for many years.  He married Mary (Mindy) Allgood.  John loved gardening, Reading, writing poetry and following professional shorts, especially the New York Yankees.  Survivors: Wife, Mindy Wing. Daughters: Heidi (Jason) Simms, Jessica Perdue, Emily Wing, Brittany (Camron) Van Gorkum and sons: John Eric Wing and Peter (Blake) Wing.  9 grandchildren, Brother: Brother, Phillip (Diane) Wing and several nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by parents and a sister, Susan Schultz.

MEMORIAL SERVICE:  10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Klehm Arboretum and Botanic Garden, 2715 South Main Street.  In lieu of flowers memorials to the family.
