"Former Berwyn resident John "Jack" Whiston, 73, died at home on Sunday, July 5, 2009. Born Mar. 5, 1936, the son of John and Jean (Calas) Whiston. Retired in 1998 from Joe Rizza Ford in North Riverside. Survivors: sons, Mark (Kathy) of Cicero, and John (Diane) of Stickney, 5 grandchildren, brother-in-law, Robert Kotek of Berwyn, and numerous family and friends. Predeceased by parents, an infant son, 2 infant daughters, and a sister, Patricia Kotek. Memorial service 11:00 a.m., Fri., July 10, 2009 in Sundberg Funeral Home, Ltd., 215 N. Sixth St., Rockford, with Chaplain Maureen McLain officiating. A special thank you to Dr. Juliette Kalweit and Heartland Hospice for all their kind, loving care."
