Jennifer Lynn Hare

Jennifer Lynn Hare passed away peacefully in her home with her beloved Justin and Avriana Lockhart on Wednesday, December 28th, 2022. Jennifer was born January 7th, 1985, in Rockford, IL to Marvin Hare and Shelly (Dunn) Sersch. She was a Harlem High School graduate and worked at the Waffle Shop for many years and we all considered the owners and her co-worker’s part of her family.

She loved being a mother and did everything for her little girl. She recently got a new job in which she was helping other people that had no one else to help them and she loved being able to do that. Her job also allowed her to be able to take Avri to school and be home when she got home from school so she could still care for her family, their house, and their pets. She loved family get together and could be counted on to bring the entire party with her! She loved being with friends and family and you could always expect her to take the best photos. She was just an all-around very caring and loving person. In lieu of flowers, we are asking for donations via cashapp to help with funeral expenses and anything left will go to helping Justin take care of their little girl.

Survived by her daughter Avriana, her life partner Justin Lockhart, siblings Amanda Hare, Jaime Hare, and Austin Sersch, parents Marvin Hare of Freeport, IL. and Mother Shelly (Dunn) Sersch and stepfather Kevin Sersch of Stockton, IL and many nephews and nieces. 

Preceded in death by sibling Sarah Hare, Cousin Jesse Hare, and many good friends.

Services will be Thursday, January 12th, 2023, at 7 pm at the Church of Nazarene at 3183 Samuelson Road in Rockford, IL.
