Jay Ware

 Jay Ware Died unexpectedly at age 61. Born in Rockford, IL. on July 24th, 1961, to Ida Leoda (Lola) and Bernard Carlyle (Lyle) Ware. He married the former Laura (Lori) Vaher on 8-8-87. Retired from Woodward, he remained active in many community projects, organizations, churches, and local politics, even running for school board. He loved spending time with his family, his grown children, and his special granddaughter, Athena, with whom he made up “chippy and cowboy” stories. Jay leaves behind to cherish many memories his loving wife, Lori, daughters, Kelli (Branden) Bauer, Andrea Ware (Ryan Segura), and Brian Ware (fiancée Madeline Roth), granddaughter, Athena, and grandson, Phoenix, brothers, Daniel and Thomas Ware. Predeceased by his parents and brother Timothy Ware. Cremation and arrangements are made through Sundberg Funeral Home. Celebration of life to be held on June 16, 2023, at Third Presbyterian Church, 1221 Custer Ave, Rockford Il. 61103 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to the Ware family, to be divided among Jay's many passionate causes.
