Obituary
Janice Lee Gibson (Chandler) of Rockford Illinois passed away in the comfort of her own home at the age of 81 on June 8th, 2023.
She was a warm and wonderful soul who was always there when anyone was in need. She had many friends and was loved by all. She was a Christian and always referred to him as Papa God. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, music, researching hobbies, animals, children, but most of all her family.
Janice was born to Paul Ross and Ruby Hildebrand - Ross In east St Louis on May 2, 1942. She has been reunited with her parents, sister Norman, brother Paul, son Chris, and devoted husband Dennis Gibson.
Janice is survived by her children Donald Chandler, Debora Garrett, Kimberly Clark, James Ross. her grandchildren Danielle, Kristina, Karissa, Ryan, Austin, Breonna, Oden, Osiris, her great grandchildren Lille, Linnea, Logan, Blakeley, Oliver, and many other extended family members that knew her as Aunt Jan.
A Funeral Service will be Tuesday June 20th, 2023, time 6:00 p.m. and friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Sundberg Funeral Home, 215 North Sixth Street, Rockford, Illinois, 61107 cares for the family. Condolences can be sent to sundbergfh.com.
The final resting place will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Rockford, Illinois.
