Irena (Maligranda) Milanos

Irena Milanos, born {11/29/1964} in Rockford, IL, passed away {3/30/2026} after a long illness. She was the beloved daughter of Konstanty Maligranda and Barbara (Pownall) Maligranda. A proud graduate of Guilford High School, class of 1982, Irena married William (Bill) Milanos on 10/27/1989. She dedicated her life to being a homemaker and mother, generously volunteering at her church as secretary and facilitating numerous functions over the years.

Irena is survived by her husband, Bill Milanos; her daughters, Tesia Weaver (Matt) and Aleska Schudak (Norm); her sons, Dymitry Milanos, Gerik Milanos, and Liam Milanos; and her eight cherished grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother, Barbara Maligranda; her sisters, Danuta Barnhart (John Barnhart), Urszula Maligranda (Cal Beckham), Zofia Maligranda, Basia Maligranda; and her brother, Konstanty Maligranda.

Services will be held at St. Mary's Oratory, 517 Elm St, Rockford, IL. Rev. Canon Gerald Bell will serve as rector. The Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at times. Visitation is at {10 AM}, followed by a Requiem Mass at {11 AM}, on
