Francis Richard (Dick) Boyer

Francis Richard (Dick) Boyer, 83, passed away Thurs. Jan. 27, 2011, peacefully at St. Anthony's Hospital at 3:15 pm, surrounded by his family. Born March 28, 1927, in Springville, UT, the son of William Amberly and Sarah Edna Boyer. Dick graduated valedictorian from Springville Utah High School. He has a Bachelor of Science from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. Dick was a member of the "Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints". He held the office of High Priest. Dick worked as an engineer for many years at Rockwell International & Borg Warner. Dick will be remembered for his smile and gentle ways. He was married to his wife, Jean, for 60 years last March 10, 2010. He is survived by her, his sons, Allen, David, Jim and Steven, 19 grandchildren, and 40 great grandchildren, his sister Jean Bowen of Springville, UT and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Lucinda B. Marshall.
Service will be held on Monday, Jan. 31, 2011, at 11:30 am. Viewing will be before the service from 9:00 am - 11:00 am at the LDS Church, 324 University Drive, Rockford.
Interment will be in The Belvidere Cemetery next to his daughter.
