Frances (Clifton) Turman

Frances Turman, 88, of Rockford, died on, Saturday, February 3, 2024 at OSF, St. Anthony Hospital.

She was born on June 26, 1935 in Sulligent, Alabama to Willam and Fannie (Burks) Clifton.

On March 7, 1953 she was joined in marriage to Early G. Turman at Gattman, Mississippi. He proceeded her in death on April 19, 1998.

She was a wonderful homemaker.

She is survived by her son Danny (Martha) Turman, Rockford; Grandson Michael (Tiana) Turman. Two sisters, Grace Clifton Gilmore and Catherine (Pat) Winters. Her great grandson, Cole Turman.

Preceded in death by her husband, son Darryl Turman; granddaughter Jana Jae Turman. Siblings: Johnny Clifton, Wayne Clifton, Jean Clifton Mann and Virginia Clifton Stanford.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Sundberg Funeral Home 215 N. 6th Street, Rockford, Illinois, 61107. Pastor Leslie Stanford will officiate. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
