Evigay Aceves

Evigay passed away on October 14, 2022, at the age of 70 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

Evigay was born 7/8/1952 in Jalisco to Jose Concepcion Aceves Garia and Rafaela Ruiz Ochoa. In the late 1970 she decided to immigrate to Rockford Illinois where she lived the remainder of her life. She was employed by PCI Pharma for 20 years and was going to retire at the end of the month. Everyone that knew her, knew that she will speak her mind and that was the reason she was liked. She enjoyed watching her novelas, Game Show Network  and spending time with her family and her dog TJ who was like a son to her.

Evigay  was preceded in death by her parents, four siblings and her beloved dog TJ and cat Twinkie. She  is survived by her daughters Lilia (Maurilio) of Phoenix AZ, Nora, Maria (John), and her son Roberto Jr (LLuvia) from Rockford; grandchildren Hayley, Cristian and Dominic Moreno, Arianna Guzman, Isela Lopez, Mark, Samantha and Susanna Rodriguez, Emilio Rodriguez and John Meraz Jr. Her ex-husband Roberto Rodriguez SR and special friend Maribel.

Visitations will be held 10/18 at Sundberg Funeral Home  215 N 6th st, Rockford Ill. Mass on Wednesday 10/19 at 11am at St. Patrick Catholic Church 2505 School St.
