Eudora A. Clarke

Eudora A. Clarke, 88, went to her heavenly home at 2:48 pm, Sun, Oct., 10, 2010 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Born Nov. 23, 1921 in Sublette, IL, the daughter of Allynn and Lillian Ruth (Smith) Parker, Sr. She came to Rockford after WWII. Married Albert F. Clarke in Dubuque, Iowa on June 10, 1940. He predeceased her Oct. 27, 1978. She worked in manufacturing for many years retired from Dollar General in 1997. She was a member of Luther Singers at The Luther Center and was involved with the Share Program in Rockford. Eudora loved her family and supported them in their activities. She enjoyed crafts, scrapbooking, and making homemade cards to give to everyone. Survivors include (6) daughters, Carol (Tom) Greer of Rockford, Barbara (Larry) Marek of Indiana, Sandra (Bill) White of Rockford, Susan (Jim) Strawbridge of Rockford, Vickie (Ray) Gonzales of Rockford, Robin Sue Clarke of Sterling, IL; (2) sons, Steven (Gerry) Clarke of Rockford and Rick (Jody) Clarke of Rockford, a brother, Al Parker, of Dixon, IL, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren and many friends at Luther Center. Predeceased by her parents, a son, Dickie, grandsons, Steven and Timmy and son-in-law, Stan O'Rear.
Services at 1:30 pm, Thurs., Oct. 14, 2010 in Sundberg Funeral Home, Ltd., 215 N. Sixth St., Rockford, IL 61107. Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon to 1:30 pm, Thursday.
