Ella A. Clouser

Ella A. Clouser, 96, died peacefully in her home on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011. Born Feb. 28, 1915 in Peoria, the daughter of John and Maggie Stechke. Ella moved with her family to Rockford when she was a young girl. She married Kenneth "Tip" Clouser on Nov. 2, 1940 and they spent 55 happy years together. Ella was an avid fisherman and enjoyed trips to Shabbona and fishing from her boat, fishing off the handicapped pier at Pierce Lake, and fishing afternoons at her granddaughter's house at Westlake. She also loved to travel with her Golden Agers group and went on exciting trips, watched wonderful plays, and enjoyed spending time at the Golden Agers Center with her friends. Ella leaves behind her daughter, Carol Postulka of Rockford, her son, Thomas (Lolita) Clouser of Thornton, CO, granddaughter, Dana (Brett) Hopkins of Winnebago, and grandson, Jason Postulka of Manila, Philippines. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Kenneth Clouser.
