Obituary

E. Sue Wilson-Johnson

November 28, 1925 – April 22, 2023

Sue was born November 28, 1925, in Middletown, TN, the first of seven children to Millard and Ethel McCarter.  She married Roy J. Wilson June 26, 1944; they were married until Roy’s death in April 1978.  Sue and Roy had two daughters, Maretta (Mikki) and Patricia.

Sue worked for Sundstrand Corporation for 26 years before retiring in 1989.

Sue enjoyed cooking, knitting, and sewing and her bible studies group at First Evangelical Free Church.  Sue was lucky to find love again with Bill Johnson; they were married from 2013 until his passing in December 2022.

Sue is survived by her daughter Maretta (Jack) Bell, granddaughter Leslie (Mike) Zimmerman, great-granddaughter Samantha (Steven Fisher) Lenzini and great-great grand-daughters Freya and Scarlett Fisher.  Sue is preceded by her parents, brothers and sisters, daughter Patricia Wilson (2015), husband Roy Wilson and husband Bill Johnson.

Per Sue’s wishes, arrangements are being made by Sundberg Funeral Home with private burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens; there will be a small family service at a later date.
