Dorothy Louise (Stabenow) Canode

Dorothy Louise Canode, age 76, of Rockford, Il. Died August 8th, 2021, at Swedish American Hospital. She was born on June 23rd, 1945, to Kearney and Agnes (Liddle) Stabenow in Rockford, IL. She was joined in marriage to Terry Paul Canode on February 25th, 1964. She worked at Rockford Maid Service for several years. Dorothy was a proud member of the St. James Catholic for many years and was involved in many activities in the church.

She is survived by one daughter Theresa (Robert) Lighthart.

Two granddaughters: Ann and Jeanette Lighthart.

Three great grandchildren: Tiara, Elizabeth, Thomas Jr.

She was preceded by her parents and her husband.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday August 17th, 2021, St. James Catholic Church in Rockford, IL. Time 11:00a.m. Burial will be at Arlington Memorial Park in Rockford. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Sundberg Funeral Home is caring for the family.
