Dorlinda (Anderson) Miller

Dorlinda Miller of Rockford, IL. departed this earthly life at her home on June 26, 2020. Born July 23, 1948 in Chicago, IL. to Willie Dean and Willie Mae Anderson, Dorlinda was the second eldest of six children, and she had strong bonds and close relationships with her sisters and brothers. She was a devoted and caring wife, as well as a loving and supportive mother to seven children. She had a degree in human services and worked as an advocate for children, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities. She is predeceased by her husband and best friend of thirty-seven years, Carrey John Miller; daughter Dorlinda Mae Randall; parents Wille Dean Anderson and Willie Mae Rogers; brothers Willie Dean Anderson Jr. and Lonnie Anderson; one grandson, Justin Kurt Oefelein, and several aunts and uncles. She is survived by her children Eunice McCord, Michael McCord, Karmen Miller, Jeffrey Randall, Curtis Miller, and Sonya (Justin) Oefelein; siblings Kathleen Anderson, Eunice Edwards, and Lovell (Kathy) Anderson; one Aunt, Mamie Sneed; Twelve grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by services at 12:00 p.m. at Sundberg Funeral Home, 215 N 6th St. Rockford, IL. 61107. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery followed by a reception at Rock Cut State Park, Please wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines for Covid-19.
