Donna Marie Richoz

Donna Van De North-Richoz, age 61, departed her family and friends peacefully on Tuesday, June 29th, 2021 at Mercy Health Hospital. She was born on April 25th, 1960, in Downers Grove, to Donald Van De North and Paulette (Davidson) Van De North. She was a 1978 graduate of Downers Grove South High. Also, she attended Beauty School and earned her CDL. She married Kirk Richoz Sr. on October 28th, 1994 in Illinois. Donna was a dedicated worker, and truck-driver for over 10 years, working for places like JB Hunt, Star, and Werner. She truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, snacking, and spending time with her grandchildren. Donna was known for her strength, friendliness, and determination. Her favorite hobbies included gardening, driving, and growing her collection of dragon figurines. Donna is survived by mother, Paulette (Davidson) Van De North; sibling Timothy Van De North; children, Cody Richoz and Rebecca Richoz; 2 grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father, Donald; husband, Kirk; and brother Anthony Van De North. Family, friends, and others whose lives Donna touched are invited to SUNDBERG FUNERAL HOME LTD., 215 N 6th St, Rockford, from 4 p.m.- 7p.m. on Friday, July 9th, 2021, to reminisce, grieve, support one another, and, of course, just chat.
