Demetrius Washington

Demetrius Washington, age 45 of Rockford, Illinois went home on Monday March 30, 2020 surrounded by his family. He was born July 9th, 1974 in Chicago, Illinois to Janet DeLois Robinson (Mom) & John Tate (Dad). Demetrius graduated from Prosser Career Academy in June of 1993. They moved to Rockford from Chicago in July of 1994. Where he married true love, Lashawn Moore on August 19, 1995. Dee earned his Degree & Associates in Arts from the University of Phoenix in 2014. He would later come to work at PACCAR where he was truly valued and appreciated. He loved his job and the people he worked closely with. Demetrius was a huge Chicago Fan! Anything Bears and Bulls, he was there watching.

Survived By his wife, LaShawn Washington, 2 sons -Ky'ere (Kaitlyn), & Darius (Aaliyah), 1 grandson - Kairo. Dee was blessed to have two fathers. John Tate & Joe Robinson (stepfather), 1 brother - Antoine & 2 sister - Dominque & Tootie. 

Proceeded in Death by his mother - Janet Delois Robinson.
