Dawn Lynnette Valdes Wagner, daughter of Sharon and William Wagner, was born on October 22, 1967, and passed away on November 17, 2025. Born in Rochelle, Illinois, Dawn made her home in Sharon, Wisconsin, where she lived a life defined by purpose, curiosity, and extraordinary love. As a dedicated college professor, Dawn devoted her career to education and uplifting others through learning. She graduated from Northern Illinois University, where she earned her Master’s in Education, inspiring countless students with her passion, insight, and unwavering belief in their potential. Dawn's life was rich with experiences. She visited 28 countries, nurturing her love for travel and her desire to understand the world more deeply. She found joy in reading, attending concerts, exploring new restaurants, and embracing the beauty of every culture she encountered. Above all, Dawn's proudest accomplishment and the center of her world was her family. As a single mother, she adopted and raised five children. Her strength, compassion, and boundless devotion shaped each of their lives in immeasurable ways. Dawn is survived by her children: Isa Wagner, Juan Wagner, Faith Wagner, Jovani Wagner, and Carlos Wagner, as well as her brother, Chad Wagner. She will be deeply missed and forever loved by her children, her friends, her colleagues, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
