David Marik Obituary

David C. Marik, age 71 of Rockford, IL passed away peacefully at home August 7, 2020. He proudly served in the 25th Infantry in the Vietnam War and received numerous awards, including a Bronze Star Medal. He owned and operated Rockford Star Games for over 30 years. He loved horse racing, game shows, visiting Mexico and spending time with his family.

He is survived by wife, Nancy; daughter, Michelle (Scott) Kolosso; son, Joel (Rachel) Marik; grandchildren, Molly, Seth, Getty, Dylan, Floyd and Noah; sisters, Cheryl (Bruce) Marik Toman and Jennifer Marik; and brother, Dennis. Predeceased by his parents, Charles and Shirley, and daughter, Jill. Private family service will be held. Please honor Dave by sharing a laugh with a loved one and finding the good in each day.
