Dan McGuire

Dan McGuire, age 62, died July 2nd, 2023. He was born September 1st, 1960, to Richard and Andrea (McHugh) McGuire. Dan graduated from Boylan High School. He later married Tracy Hoelscher. Dan's hobbies included anything to do with as he put it (the greatest city in the world) Chicago. He loved the Chicago Bears, Cubs, Bulls, and the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. He had a deep love for poetry whether it was reading or writing, and some of his poetry writings were published in the Tributary. Another passion was music, whether it be Jazz, Blues, or Rock & Roll. This is a passion that he spread onto and shared memories with his daughter Caitilin.

Dan is survived by his wife Tracy Hoelscher, and his 3 children Brandon (Jackie) Nason, Jamie (Stacey) Nason, and Caitilin (Sergio) McGuire.

Five grandchildren with their newest (Raine) being born 6 months ago.

Two sisters, Caroline (Mark) Thompson, and Katie McGuire, and three brothers, Patrick (Barb) McGuire, Edward McGuire, and John (Alisa) McGuire. Plus, many Nieces and Nephews.

Preceded in death by his Mother (Mimi) and father (Dick) and his brother Matt, along with his nephew Thomas McGuire.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, July 10th, 2023, from 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm at the Sundberg Funeral Home in Rockford, Illinois.
