Daisy L. Johnson

Daisy L. Johnson, 87, passed away Wed., December 8, 2010 in River Bluff Nursing Home. Born Apr. 13, 1923 in West Brooklyn, IL, the daughter of Christopher and Belle (Stout) July. Married Harold K Johnson in Rockford in 1942. He predeceased her in 2004. She was a member of Broadway Methodist Church. Survivors: son Jerry (Linda) Johnson of Machesney Park, granddaughter, Trisha (Jim) Harrison of Stillman Valley, grandson, Jarrett (Megan) Johnson of Rockford, great-grandsons, Justin Whipple, Nick Harrison, Ryan, Dylan, and Nathan Johnson, great-granddaughters, Rachel and Elaina Johnson, and Kristen Harrison, sister, Betty J. Krause of Hot Springs, AR, and brother, Clifford L. July of San Mercos, CA. Predeceased by brothers, Charles and Duane July, and sisters, Marion Booster, Juanita Fenton, and Mildred Johnson. The family would like to thank VNA Hospice and the Eagle wing of River Bluff Nursing Home for their care.
Service 1:00 p.m., Monday. Dec. 13, 2010 in Sundberg Funeral Home, Ltd., 215 N. Sixth St., Rockford, with Rev. Christopher Druce Jones officiating. Visitation 1 hour prior to service. Interment in Willwood Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to VNA Hospice.
