Curtis J. Anderson, 33, of Machesney Park, IL, passed away in his sleep on Monday, February 7, 2022. He was born March 12, 1988 in Rockford, IL, the son of Fred and Edith Anderson. He loved and played baseball as a young boy and spent time at his grandparents in Machesney Park, IL and at a family farm in Stockton, IL. He attended Bethany Presbyterian Church in Loves Park, IL with his family in his elementary years and Harlem High School in Machesney Park, IL. In 2009, he graduated from Lakeland Community College with certificate in Business Administration. In 2016 at age 28, he was united in marriage with his wife, Rebecka, and lived in Rockford, IL. Curtis loved working with his hands in electrical, carpentry, welding, or working on cars. He worked at Winnebago County Landfill as a Team Lead Supervisor, and went on to work for Westran Thermal Processing where he found a new passion in being an Electrical Technician, running electrical wiring on panels for industrial size ovens. He and his wife went on to start a business in 2020 and took on a large clientele for residential and commercial snowplowing in the Northern Winnebago Co area. He received his CDL License in 2021 and worked for Farm City hauling corn and soybean and continued his love for snowplowing in his Silverado with his husky Riff. Curtis played bass electric guitar in a band in high school and had a passion for playing the guitar around the house. He also loved fishing and spending time with his grandfather.
Curtis is survived by his loving wife of almost 6 years, Rebecka Anderson; mother, Edith Anderson; three brothers; grandfather, LaVerne Buske; 9 nieces and nephews; extended family and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Anderson and grandmother, Marilyn Buske
Funeral Service will be Monday February 14th, 2022, visitation at 3 p.m. followed by a service at 4 p.m. at Redeemer Church Rockford, 5501 Windsor Road, Loves Park, Illinois 61111. Light refreshments to follow the service. Sundberg Funeral Home is caring for the family.
