Beverly E. Christenson

Beverly E. Christenson, 77, passed away at 11:12 a.m., Friday, Nov. 4, 2011 in the home of her daughter. Born Mar. 23, 1934 in Sioux City, IA, the daughter of Herbert and Helen (Knudson) Menefee. She married Clair Christenson on Oct. 8, 1935. He predeceased her July 31, 1994. Beverly was a retired office manager at Forest City Electric after 20 years of service. She was a member of Christ the Rock Lutheran Church. Beverly enjoyed shopping QVC and playing "the one-armed bandits" with her best friend and companion of 17 years, Donna Vandersall. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and hearing about their busy lives. Survivors: a daughter, Jolyn (Michael) Fritchen and their children, Justin, Mariah, and Savannah, a son, Chris (Kristina) Christenson and their children, Matthew, Ryan, and Kyle, a sister-in-law, Shirley Menefee, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her 3 brothers.
