Bert Ten Brummeler, 80 AKA : Bert Brummel
Passed very peacefully at Rockford Memorial Hospital Sat., July 17, 2010 after a short illiness. Born Sept 25, 1929 in Curacao, Dutch West Indies to Capt. L. C. and Gerardina (Altorf) Ten Brummeler. Bert lived with his life partner of 22 years, Dee Witte, 19 of those years in Roscoe, IL.
He served in the Dutch Army in the Netherlands, after serving he graduated from the Academy of Modern Arts in the Hague, Holland as a Design Engineer.
Bert enjoyed a full life with family and numerous friends, too many to count.
He was an awesome dad and grandfather, very loving, caring and nurturing. He
Loved conversation and would not go away from home without his precious Persian Cat, Phoebe. He leaves behind to remember him, daughter Michelle Milloro (Steve) of Rockford, daughter Robin Jacobs (Jamie) of Crystal Lake and daughter Leigh Cordes (Mike) of Mountain View, California and sister Diny Miller of Barrie, Ontario Canada. Grandchildren, Shawn, Christopher, Jacob, Anitta, Alexandria and Nicholas, and nephew Adam Miller (Jill) of Singapore. Predeceased by parents and brother John G. Ten Brummeler of Toronto, Canada.
