Audrey (Ross) Reese

Audrey Theresa Reese passed away peacefully on January 4th, 2026. Born March 15th, 1929, to Henry and Cecile (Groleau) Ross in Rapid River, Michigan. Married John C. Reese in Rockford, Illinois, July 2nd, 1951. Predeceased her on March 9th, 1997. Long-time member of St. Edwards Catholic Church, now a member of St. Rita Catholic Church.

Survivors include four children, John (Imelda) Reese of Rockford, Cheryl Soldin of Rockford, Marsha (Donald) Putnam of Cherry Valley, Ronald Reese of Rockford.

Ten Grandchildren, Gina (Mike) Wesseln, Sarah (Eric) Magnuson, Christina (Jason) Ramirez, Stephen, Ryan, Nicholas and Jeffery (Amber) Soldin, Allison (Jason) Makulec, Andrew Putnam and John Reese.

Eleven Great-Grandchildren, Reece, Zachary, Haleigh, Riley, Jack, Aaden, James, Jaxon, Knox, Alaina and Nadia.

Siblings, Elaine Demars, Emily Wengert, Harold Ross and James Ross.

Preceded in death by Son-in-law Stephen Soldin, four sisters and three brothers.

Mass of Christian Burial on Friday January 9th, 2026, time 11:00 a.m. at St. Rita Catholic Church 6254 Valley Knoll Drive. Rockford. Illinois 61109. Friends may visit on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. An Entombment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
