Alberto Garcia

Alberto Garcia Sotolongo, 55, of Rockford, passed away on Wed. December 2, 2020 at home.

He was born on Oct. 26, 1965, in Cuba, to Oscar and Olga (Sotolongo) Garcia.

He was a great husband, brother, father, uncle, cousin, and friend.

He was the father of 4 kids: Francisco Garcia, Christian Alberto Garcia, Angel Juan Carlos Garcia and 

Ruth Garcia. He was a brother to Luis, Enrique, Angel Lucio, Rene, Javier, Oscar, and Odalis.

He was a great father, friend, brother, a great son, and a great husband.

He was a giving man with a heart of gold.

If someone made a mistake, he would help them in the way he loved people. He was a 

great man that always put others before him. He always had a smile on his face.

He was a hardworking man, he loves spending time with the people he loved.

He loved to play Dominos and to go fishing.

He loved spending time with his children. He loved his children all

the same and he always put a smile on his children's face.

We will miss him.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, Dec.10, 2020 from 4 until 9 p.m. at Sundberg Funeral Home, 216 N. 6th Street

Rockford, Ill 61107. The funeral will be held on Friday, Dec. 11th beginning at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic 

Church. Burial will be in Cedar Bluff Cemetery, Rockford.
