Elie (Alan) M. Adamany 1937-2022
Elie (Alan) Adamany, 85, of Rockford, Illinois died peacefully on July 13, 2022 with his family by his side. The son of Michel Adamany and Olga Filfley Adamany, Elie was born a US citizen in Zahle, Lebanon on April 29, 1937, as his father was a US citizen at the time of Elie’s birth. He arrived in the United States in 1953.
Elie’s greatest loves were his love of God and his family. He attended church faithfully every Sunday until his declining health prevented him from attending.
Another great source of Elie’s pride was his fruit and vegetable garden and his rose and flower garden, and he shared his abundance with many.
Elie is survived by his three children: Zana (Tony) Tannous, Andrew Adamany and Thomas (Shannon) Adamany; grandchildren Zachary Valente, Kevin Tannous, Sabrina Tannous, Alexander (Olivia) Adamany and Joshua (Debbymar) Adamany; his brothers, John (Betty) Adamany, Anthony Adamany; and the mother of his children, Jackie Adamany; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Predeceased by his wife Linnie Keller Adamany, his parents Michel and Olga Adamany; his brother Fouad (Fred) Adamany, sisters-in-law Hayat Hreiz Adamany and Nancy Coomber Adamany.
