Nina Valukievic

Nina (Woloch) Valukievic age 87, born in 1932 in Kossow, Belarus, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2019 in her home surrounded by family. She was married on November 1, 1953.

She became a citizen of the United States on October 8, 1957.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years Janka “John” Valukievic, son John (Alise) Valukievic, daughter Wanda Valukievic (Richard Chapman), and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her baby son Paul in 1968, parents Alexander and Olga Woloch, Brother Leon Woloch (his sons, William and Alex), sister Natasha (Charles) Urbanowita, Sister Wanda (John) Kosoweic, (their children: Leon and Susan). Her greatest joys were spending time with her family, reading and sharing the good news she learned from her study of the bible and working in and enjoying God’s earthly creations.

Special thanks to the Jehovah’s Witnesses who never forgot about her and to the nurses and CNA’s of Rockford Mercy Hospice for the compassionate and wonderful care they provided her at home.

Private Family Services will be held at Sundberg Funeral Home, 215 North Sixth Street, Rockford, Illinois.
